What is it that turns a land development into a community? We believe that it takes a combination of commitment from the developers and local community members to create an environment that fosters whole community inclusion. That’s why the Florida Beach Partnership are proud to support the Port Bouvard Surf Life Saving Club (PBSLSC) with a donation of $50,000.

PBSLSC opened in 2003 and provide South Mandurah beach goers with regular patrols to ensure their safety. They also run a well developed ‘Nippers’ program which trains today’s youth to become surf aware which is vitally important in our coastal environment. Physically impaired people can also be included in beach activities with the use of PBSLSC’s specially designed beach access wheelchair. This amenity is available to all members of the public, not just surf club members. The PBSLSC welcomes everybody in the community from Waroona through to Mandurah to be a part of their club.

It is hoped that this $50,000 will assist the club to build a much need second storey on the building. Currently key areas of the building are being used for storage due to a lack of space. Florida Beach Partnership have assisted the club in the past with the purchase of a rescue boat and will continue their support by providing the club with a new watch tower this year. Florida Beach Partnership Director, John Perry said, “We want to give back to the community. The club promotes a healthy lifestyle and parents and their children who live in the area are involved in the club.”

Florida Beach is a beautiful land estate that neighbours PBSLSC. It offers a wide variety of block choices from easy care lifestyle lots through to large family sized homesites at an affordable price close to the beach. What is it that makes a buyer choose one property over another? This is a question that many sellers ask themselves, particularly when their property is the one that was passed over. The truth is that it could be any number of uncontrollable factors such as block size, location and house layout. However, when two similar properties are competing for one buyer, it often comes down to the simple case of presentation.

Over summer, sales listings tend to increase. This is not unusual in Mandurah as it is a seasonal city that offers a fantastic summer lifestyle. What this means for buyers though is that they have more choice, whilst sellers face increased competition from other sellers. That’s why it is so important to present your home in it’s best possible light.

Most sellers are very good at presenting their homes in a clean and tidy fashion, however sometimes it’s the little things that make the difference. Buyers are usually looking for a property that needs the least amount of work to do. Just by repairing any chipped walls and giving them a lick of paint, you could increase the appeal of your home and make it stand out above competitors. Buyers are often looking for any excuse to knock down the asking price, by eliminating these factors, you also give yourself the best chance of higher sales price.
